My second choice would be something about not putting the stool out until the space is completely clear. Or is it a table.

But as I age I find myself becoming more and more forgetful, particularly when it's cold. Sometimes I'll forget to bring the trash cans in for a week. Sometimes I'll be in the middle of moving an old set of beach chairs and accidentally leave one in the street outside my house. Sometimes I'll even get confused as to what day trash day is and I'll leave something I'm intending to dispose of in the middle of the street days before the garbage truck comes.
Thankfully, when I get home I'll notice my mistake and move the object so I can park. But old forgetful me, the next morning I'll make the same mistake again!

But as I mentioned to those on the other side of the debate, come back to me in June when there is a cone sitting on the street in front of some guy's house. Trust me, on a nice June day, there will be at least 5 instances of this somewhere in the city, and you better believe there will be no construction anywhere near the place.
