oh great...
..that's right on my bike commute tonight...
T&P
T&P to you and your bike route.
T&P?
Traffic and Parking? Temperature and Pressure? Time and Place?

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=T%26P&defid=5343296
Another idiotic acronym
The texting and Twitter generation is so lazy.
gee
It's almost like abbreviations, acronyms, and initialisms are some new-fangled contraption. I should tell my whippersnapper realtor to stop referring to the P&S.
Though here is something about abbreviations: every character in a transmission uses a byte, so fewer characters = smaller packets = less energy used to transfer said packets = smaller environmental impact. So I ask you, sir, why do you hate the environment?
oh wow
I hope you and your bike commute were able to recover from this.
everyone take a deep breath...
...consider a little irony once in a while...sheesh.
WOW SHOOTING AT KIDS COWARDS!!!!!!
WOW this is crazy shooting at kids in a swimming pool. SUCH A COWARDLY ACT!!! These so called thugs think their tuff guys and their just cowards this makes my stomach turn.
Is it really cowardly?
Or does using that term just make one feel better by marginalizing the perp?
http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/127556/use-of-the-term-coward...
lack of courage!!!! shooting
lack of courage!!!! shooting at kids and running awaway is not couragous you moron
Oh FFS
For crying out loud. That place is FULL of kids.
sigh
the people who do this don't care.. they don't.
Yes
You're right. It's just that that building was designed for kids' safety (well, not necessarily the pool) and it's already acted as a safe haven at least once after a shooting in the park.
What can be done to stop people from acting so impulsively? To get shooters to stop and think?
It's just crazynuts.
Many times
they're kids (teens) themselves.
Do you think people morally
Do you think people morally bankrupt enough to commit murder in broad daylight give a rats behind about children and hurting innocent people?
This is why after a certain point more laws are ineffective. Criminals don't care and cannot be made to care unless the penalties and likelihood of punishment are grievous enough.
Or
Or they can't have access to the weapons which let them do these things in the first place.
Murder is already a life sentence. You think it matters to someone that they'd be locked up for 40 years instead of 20?
Cuz banning drugs has work so
Cuz banning drugs has work so well. A total ban on illegal substances has made our society drug free!
Criminalizing robbing banks
Criminalizing robbing banks hasn't worked either. And laws against shop-lifting have been nearly 100% ineffective.
How in the world?
...are you going to deny access to guns? There are over 300 million guns currently in the hands of private citizens. Do you seriously think we can pass a law and everyone with a gun (or guns) will just drop them off at the police stations all across the country? Yes, that's living in reality. Jeez.
Oh, wait...there are bad people? Really? They won't follow the rules? No...they will shoot at a pool filled with kids on a hot August day. Yeah, right, they will give up their guns.
I can't believe the ignorance out there. People are divorced from reality. Wow.
The answer to your first
The answer to your first question can be found in every first world nation other than this one. These events aren't at all common in those countries. Australians gave up their guns and are safer for it.
Actual data says no.http:/
Actual data says no.
http://johnrlott.blogspot.com/2012/08/some-notes-on-claims-about-austral...
The laws had no dramatic effect on criminal activity because criminals never have up their guns. The firearm crime rate in Australia decreased in proportion with crime across the board and didn't significantly drop as a result of the laws.
Why can't we ban criminal gangs and prosecute them like organized crime? Why is it that street gangs are a tougher nut to crack than the mafia?
John R. Lott? Oh hahahahaha!
Utterly hysterical that you mention that guy's name and "actual data" in any sort of proximity.
Yeah, really reliable source. A guy who "can't find his data" and then makes up a non-existant psychophant graduate student or two who "remember doing the surveys".

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/John_Lott
Sure thing. You'd do better to cite an anonymous swamp dwelling beast as a source. It would most certainly be more reliable and believable. It might even have you talk to real, existing frogs grad students!
How cute
Show me another first world nation with millions upon millions of gangbangers. Or, better yet, stop comparing apples to oranges.
Millions upon millions?
You don't think you might exaggerating just a bit?
Not *millions*, but ...
Italy? Where the Mafia started?
Drugs are totally illegal and
Drugs are totally illegal and readily available because criminals smuggle the stuff in their stomachs and colons. If criminals are willing and able to go to those extremes to smuggle and trade in drugs do you really think banning guns is going to change anything?
The country has a behavioral problem. Like drugs you have to treat the root cause of addiction or violence which is an innate character flaw. Addressing why some people think it is perfectly acceptable to be a member of a gang and murder people is going to be much more successful than trying to ban means and methods.
Morales
What morals there's no such thing anymore alot of people just don't care that area Washington Park the community center I don't even let my grandchildren Go there I rather drive them to Daniel Marr Boys and Girls Club on Dorchester Avenue. That's where my children went when they were coming up. We are losing the battle against drugs guns killing innocent people maybe back in the day that area was okay but that was prior to 10 years ago I look out in my area I also volunteer for DSNI. Areas in Roxbury,Dorchester and Mattapan including the South End that I don't even go to . Myself I grew up in the South End

Deport who we can (illegals)
and get rid of citizenship as birthright to children of non-citizens to make the future better.
Stupid Goodwin's Law
Stifling my free speech rights...
I did it!
I got markkkkkkkkkk Bingo!
What future?
When idiots like you allow another idiot like Donald Trump to be taken seriously as a Presidential candidate, the future doesn't exactly look bright.
Then again, by 2050 whites will be the minority and you'll be still living like the Clint Eastwood character in Gran Torino.
Hey Markkk - read this
It is in this horrifically liberal and radical document put together by secular humanists (albeit added nearly 80 years later). Also known as the Bill of Rights (aka "The Law of the Land")
So much for Trumpthumping.
14th Amendment
Sorry, the 14th amendment is not part of the Bill of RIghts. Amendments 1-10 are the Bill of Rights. The 14th amendment passed after the Civil War. The Bill of Rights amendments passed shortly after ratification.
Oh really.
(Rolls eyes)
Okay, then - what is the functional difference, if any, may I ask? Do we enforce these "interloping amendments!" differently? Wasn't it the intent of our founders that it be expanded through amendments, as the mechanism for such was provided?
Also note that case law prior to the passage of the 14th amendment (for non slaves, anyway) was the same as what the 14th amendment explicitly states: born here = citizen.
(Also note that I said that it was added.)
Which amendment covers display of tin foil millinery? (Yes, one of them does)
No conspiracy
I had no hidden agenda other than to correct your factual error. I like the 14th amendment as much as anyone. Keep up the paranoia!
You have a dictionary, right?
Do you realize what the word "amendment" means?
I suggest that you look it up. Oh, and get your money back on your education - there was no factual error here, other than yours.
Not every amendment to the Constitution...
... is part of the "Bill of Rights".
Bill of Rights
Wow, it is true that you don't learn. Your error was calling the 14th amendment part of the Bill of Rights. It is not part of the Bill of Rights, which only includes the first 10 amendments.
Actually the 27th Amendment...
... (relating to the pay of Congressmen and Senators) was part of the Bill of Rights (originally called Amendment 2, but not ratified by enough states to be adopted until 1992 -- at which time it became the 27th Amendment).
Why In The Hell....??
Okay... Why in the Hell are the Police interested in Only recovering the Bullets that were left AFTER the damn crime? Instead of recovering the Criminals & the Car they used to do the damn shooting? .... Its almost like they want more people to get shot at and get killed... A lot of the Boston Force needs to be stripped of their Badge and Fired. Too busy collecting Bullets and Passing out Speeding Tickets.... Incredibly
Oh, please
You really think police officers just stood around looking for bullets and weren't busy much of the afternoon looking for additional evidence and suspects?
Also..
..bullets tend to have fingerprints on them. Well, at least the casings, assuming it wasn't from a revolver. Also, the bullets themselves can be matched against bullets from the same gun if it's ever recovered.
Shots were aimed at funeral procession for murder victim
WCVB reports.
