Snowy owl at Castle Island in South Boston

Eileen Murphy recently spotted this snowy owl that seems to have taken up residence at Castle Island. She reports it seemed to be eyeing her small dog as a snack.

I started seeing them there on my early morning runs a couple of winters ago. They like the area around Logan because it's basically the Arctic tundra in winter, though they can be a problem for the planes:
