Complete Green Line map, free
By DarkSun on Fri, 10/10/2008 - 10:57am
Some time ago I recall reading on an MBTA blog a complaint that there was no single free complete Green Line map, with all surface stops listed, available. Well, I did some digging today, and with just a bit of effort, was able to locate this complete Green Line map, free of charge, right off of MBTA.com:

Passengers just getting off the train from Pleasantville ...
Might prefer this version:
Cool, but...
...it needs to be a full-chromatic version, so the red, orange, blue, and commuter rail have the properly colored squares at the Lechmere end.
I'll see your colored map, Adam...
...and raise you a colored map following MBTA signage coloring
Bummer that I can't post images.
Ah, those stubs!
Plum forgot all about 'em!
www.universalhub.com/filter/tips/1#filter-bbcode-0 explains how to embed images (scroll down a page or two and, grr, looks like my styles have made some of the text illegible, although you should be able to figure out the image stuff until I fix that). And, yeah, it's an anti-scripting thing.
Improved, but...
... the colors are swapped at North Station (or you could swap the labels).
Whoops!
Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out.
Nice, detailed map
Some of those B-line stops are diagrammed at a 1:1 ratio, aren't they?
Jewish Center. How do you get back and forth?...
a.
How do you get back and forth, to and from the Jewish Center?...
They haven't a completely clear picture with the directions at
http://www.lsjcc.org/home/leventhal_abo.html
b.
Any shuttles running nearby?...
God forbid you just call them and ask, huh?
Because that's just what they'd be expecting.
Re: Jewish Center
This seems to be a bit off-topic for this thread, but...
I took a quick look at that website you linked to, and it seems to provide clear directions for how one could get to the Jewish Center via the T:
For further information, I would recommend visiting the MBTA's website, http://www.mbta.com/ for bus schedule/route information, trip planning, service near an address, and more.
The map with colored stubs...
looks great! With one tiny note... at the far right of the map (at North Station), it seems to show the Commuter Rail as orange and the Orange Line as purple... perhaps the Commuter Rail block should be purple and the Orange Line block should be, well, orange?
Michael: Not sure what you mean. If you are asking if the map is geographically accurate, then no, it's obviously not geographically accurate.
'twas a joke.
Maybe not a good one.
As a former B-line taker
I thought it was funny.
I got it
Yep. It's 1:1 past Packard's Corner.
