Laura Kollett spotted these two turkeys this morning atop a house on South Street in Roslindale, near the train station.

The moment hunting season opens they disappear.
The flocks here on the North
The flocks here on the North Shore will rest in the trees, although it seems to be a destination for the evening. They don't seem to use the trees even when they're startled, but not many domestic animals seem to phase them.

Farm turkeys tend to be a lot
Farm turkeys tend to be a lot fatter and have trouble flying. And it's not like turkeys are great at flying to begin with, just good enough to get on the roof of a house.
Do not understimate them!
I saw one fly across six lanes of Route 3 once.
