The Commonwealth Museum is awful about keeping their website up to date. There is more on the flag in this Globe story.

The Commonwealth Museum is located at the state archive building at Columbia Point. It is part of the 3-building cluster with the JFK Library and the Ted Kennedy Senate building. The Comm museum has done some interesting upgrades in recent years and is an interesting take. It's a good school outing.
In theory, you could make a whole day of it doing all 3 buildings.
Take the T to JFK Umass Station then take the free shuttle. I believe it is Bus Shuttle #2.
(1 goes to Umass and 3 goes to the Bayside parking lot. If uncertain just ask.)
