Even in overheated Boston, not every development project approved by the city gets built: A developer who won BRA approval for a 24-unit apartment building at 151 Liverpool St. in 2015 never started work and then sold the building to another developer - which is now back before the BRA with a proposal for a 36-unit building that might contain condos instead of apartments.
The plan approved by the BRA called for building new floors atop an existing building; new property owner City Point Liverpool LLC says that just wouldn't work, so instead it wants to tear the old building down, dig out a basement garage and add more units to pay for the added demolition and construction costs.
City Point's 55-story height is actually three feet lower than the original proposal, which had one fewer floor, because the lower floors in the new building will have shorter ceilings than in the current building.
The proposal calls for 36 parking spaces and a roof deck complete with a walking/running track.

That would be great if they are condos instead of apartments, does not mention if it will be 1 bedroom or 2 bedrooms and sq footage of interior space. Eastie will start to have even more condos ,some with parking some without parking but it will not matter because many people will relyi on uber ride sharing also there is car rental stations.
All units will be one or two-bedroom

Relying on the ride sharing is very expensive for most people. That's not a good proposal. There just isn't enough transit, and many people bring cars anyway.

It's .4 miles to Maverick Station (10-15 mins max to Government Center). Plus some bus routes (I don't know how useful those are as I don't use them).

If people are moving into Eastie and they will be paying $2000-$3000 a month for rent or a $4000 payment a month to pay for their condo wouldn't you think they will have enough money for uber!! No brainier.. Uber is cheaper than owning a car in the city. Yuppies don't want to be bothered by moving their car when street cleaning comes around every week. Yuppies don't want to shovel out their cars in a heavy snow storm. Have you notice all the traffic in Eastie, much more people are moving in, more cars, no more parking spaces, and for those who drive into Eastie and want to visit a relative visitor parking is 2 hours only just like the back bay and south end, I can remember when you could park your car in the same spot in Eastie with a flat tire for months or even a couple of years without getting a ticket..The neighborhood is yuppitized and it's too late to change things.

Yuppitizing the shit out of East Boston is not a bad thing, would like to see more cafes and art galleries , pottery stores, consignment clothing stores, bakery's, kitchen hardware stores, you get the point.
