Man shot to death outside Jamaica Plain convenience store

Boston Police report a man was shot more than once on Centre Street, outside the 7-Eleven at Centre and South Huntington Avenue around 3:30 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Globe reports the man was a well known local figure in a wheelchair.

Aw man, I think I met that guy at the Stop and Shop. He loved my off-road truck and told me all about his time (allegedly) as a rally driver in South Carolina. Seemed like a decent dude.

that is my Friend and before you ssy he didn't need a wheelchair yes he did. So before you assume shit get your facts straight!!! He was a great and loving guy.. Shame on you

Do you know if he was receiving services anywhere? My family and I would like to make a donation in his honor but we have no clue where would have the most impact or be most appropriate to honor his memory.
