...there are plenty of alt-right conspiracy-fetish radio shows and websites you and your ilk can wallow in. Your hero Trump might even have his very own network soon, even more hate-based, ignorance-promoting, reality-denying than Fox "News" (which I guess isn't conservative enough anymore?).
Now, now: no need to use code words like "alt-right".

Alt-right is being used to

Alt-right is being used to label any Republican to the right of Charlie Baker. Meaningless term.
Bull.
By CopleyScott17
Sat, 10/22/2016 - 4:55pm
First, I doubt Baker has ever been seriously referred to as alt-right.
Second, it's not a meaningless term. It's how a specific group of people refer to themselves and their beliefs. I think they're abhorrent, but they're absolutely real. It's like saying pro-life is a meaningless term, or progessive, or any political category.
Seems you're just trying to deny reality or deflect criticism. How very Trumpist.
I think you read that wrong.
By boo_urns
Sat, 10/22/2016 - 5:09pm
They weren't talking about calling Baker alt-right. They said anyone who falls to the right of him. But a more accurate portrayal would be anyone to the right of Neocons like Bill Kristol, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, et al. That's where you start getting into alt-right territory. Even Bill Kristol, of all people, made a push to defeat Trump this election in the "Never Trump" movement.
You're right...

Of course they did.

Neocons hate anyone they view as insufficiently hawkish. They hated it when Trump was bad mouthing George W. Bush and calling the Iraq War a disaster.
The neocons much prefer Hillary. She's a warmonger like they are.

Yeah, you need a breath of fresh air badly. You don't know squat about me, so your projections about me as some right-wing tool are way off the mark.
I don't live for right-leaning stuff; after all, I _do_ come to UH all the time - that alone should tell you something about me.
Trump ain't my hero. This election, BOTH candidates are bottom-of-the-barrel picks.
Realize, however, that it's one thing to favor Hillary Clinton, but it's quite another thing to ignore entirely all the non-fictional evil behind the sick, slick Clintonian empire (Act 2). Good luck to us all!

...as a Jedi, she went over to the dark side. Benghazi? Our guys hung out to dry. Libya? Forced error. No need to kill Kaddafhy (sp, always with him). He had a lid on it. She had him croaked. No plan 'B'. So, Libya, a rather stable country, is a shattered train wreck. Have fun explaining that one.
Senator? Carpetbagger that won a round and did nothing.
For the sake of the Republic, hold your nose and vote for Trump. The media will watch him like a hawk and he will be at loggerheads with some of Congress.
...as the Founding Fathers saw fit.
Hillary will spend four years hunting down her enemies and rewarding her friends.
She's a despicable woman. Hell, if she wins, I'll probably get audited...

that article is insufferable and it seems like, per that very article, he does indeed have a large collection. "Of the nearly 200 photographs Schilling posted, more than three dozen include swastikas."
you need to have your head pretty far up your ass to think that because ~20% of photos of his collection have OMG SWASTIKAS that it means anything. this dude does enough actual dumb shit without manufacturing fake reasons to dump on him.

What a horse's ass. To me at least, he knows exactly what he's doing campaigning as "Aww shucks, I'm not PC, I'm just a regular guy asking a question" candidate which is the only strategy he has to win a senate campaign in MA. The barely concealed smug expression on his face is telling--he was probably waiting the entire interview to spring this one. The only credit he deserves is taking Tapper by surprise and trying to get him to say something he can point to in a Senate campaign about the liberal media bias. Thankfully Tapper doesn't take the bait. I feel as though the shocking things said during this presidential campaign give a mouthbreathers like Schilling a chance to ride in its slipstream and say pretty much anything that makes him look like a populist as long as it's not outright racist or rapey. Unfortunately, I think we'll be seeing more of this in the next few years.

Is that he doesn't specifically endorse Democrats or Republicans, which, "shame on him" for claiming to be unbiased as a news person, right? That doesn't mean he doesn't vote, though; that doesn't logically follow.

that forbid anyone in the news side of the house from publicly endorsing any candidate or party, though of course voting is allowed and an entirely private matter, as it should be. The same rules generally don't apply to the business side of the house. (That latter accounts for a lot of the media people recently accused by the right of betraying their bias with political contributions: most of them aren't reporters.)

Apparently the former managing editor of the Washington Post (not sure on the detail, heard it on BUR Friday morning) also did not vote, in order to keep a clear heart in terms of journalistic integrity and not picking sides, even in the privacy of the mind.
I think it shows an amount of integrity to put aside your rights in order to further democracy by providing the best impartial information and assessment that you can.
I think that's odd

If you've ever read Freakonomics, they talk about how economists don't vote (or, at least in presidential elections), because they view it as a futile exercise, for the most part (where it usually doesn't come down to a single vote so they can feel good about sitting it out, or something close to that). But, as a journalist seems a bit different. Of course, if there were a means of publishing a journalist's voting record it could, in fact, prove some sort of bias. But, I believe that sort of record is considered a private right, as far as "privacy" and the constitution are concerned. As a journalist, you've likely researched a lot of, if not all of, the facts enough to the point where you can vote in good faith and still provide accurate journalism to your readers.
Then again, I'm not a journalist, so I don't try to talk myself out of such civic practices. It'd be interesting to hear them pressed on the issue further.

The GOP is going to get a beating not seen since Barry Goldwater lost. When that happens there will be a pause for some soul searching. They are going to have to decide if they want to become a national party again or break into smaller parties.
People are going to turn on Trump because he will be blamed for a Clinton Presidency.
He will make the shunning of Sarah Palin (memba her?) look tame.
The schilling schtick is done after this election.
It's a failed election strategy.

Here's the plan. For any particular post, Adam can set the over/under on the amount of anon posts it will incur and then we can all place wagers on either side. So a post about the drought might be set at say 5 but an article about Southie might be set at 50.
Anyways, what specific variety of Christian is Schilling? I want to be able to ask the right people why he's such a dummy.
