That's one of the places you can turn left across the tracks while the trolley also has a green light. And (as of 2 years ago), there wasn't even one of those nonstandard ineffectual "yield to trolley" signs that doesn't get the message across. https://goo.gl/maps/QG8MUQLb5o72

Typically people realize they don't have the right of way over something on railroad tracks, sign or no sign. But as we know from Storrow, no amount of clear signage will stop morons.

Until I learned otherwise, I assumed that any time a train would be coming through a crossing, I would face a red light (either a flashing crossbuck or a standard traffic light).
