If you were planning on trying Senegalese cuisine, you might be too late

UPDATE, 12/2: Restaurant to re-open.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the state has seized Teranga in the South End for non-payment of taxes.

Don't worry, there's still West African food in Boston, if not specifically Senegalese - at Suya Joint in Roxbury.

I always enjoyed Teranga. Very nice people, cute spot, great food. I hope they're able to resolve this!

I had always wanted to try it. Admittedly, I had been inside, and ordered a drink, but that was because I was waiting for a table at Toro. I actually knew the chef at Teranga at the time, and had the audacity to just order a drink and no food. He made a good drink, though.
