It is indeed the Braintree Street car barn and power plant. The generating station still exists today, although the front facade has been considerably rebuilt. A newer version of the car barn is still there too.

You can see the smokestack in the background of old photos of the Allston Depot, as well.

It's amazing that the car bar is still in use. You'd think something would have replaced it over the last century!

Still remember the very end of the 'old trollies' running from Wilton Street. Lived across the tracks till 1950.
