You are aware that in some countries eggs, like cheese, are not kept in the refrigerator? Even in the supermarket, they're sold out in the aisles, not in the fridge.

In those countries the bloom is not washed off the egg. Here it is, and the natural protection of that layer is lost.

A supermarket would throw things out within a day if the fridge failed. And it's as cold as a fridge outside. So the eggs should be fine. The only problem with them is the bureaucracy that won't allow them to be sold.
