Somebody ignited a propane tank next to a parked cruiser outside District C-6 on West Broadway around 8:20 this morning.
Michael Daniels reports it exploded with a green flash.
WBZ reports police have called in the Joint Terrorism Task Force to help investigate.

Looks like it'll be on the evening news as there were helicopters over Southie. They don't have time to mess with the DC gala going on.
Also heard a bunch of Firetrucks and sirens racing down a side street a while ago, but might not be relegated.

Listen folks. There was crime long before Donald Trump was elected.
There was crime long before Barak Obama was elected. There was violence, smuggling and plenty of border incidents before Trump proposed his wall. There were protests regarding all types of topics long before both of them were in the public eye. There was police mis-conduct, and occasional attacks on police before both of them. There were sexual assaults before both of them. There was racial strife before both of them. And people said mean things about one-another before anyone ever heard of Donald Trump or Barak Obama.
The next 4 years will have enough genuine challenges without every single thing that happens being blamed on the current or former President (often based on no facts at all).

...that it was just plain some lunatic asshole with a propane tank? Odd though, because the newer ones have a safety valve that stops the flow if there's not enough back pressure.
On the other hand, if it fit under the cruiser, it was a one pound can with an open soldering tip. Not sure about the safetys on them.
