Shortly before 5 p.m., as Katrina Demulling shows us, service halted on the C inbound due to a pair of turkeys that refused to yield the tracks to a trolley.

My experience is that if the car, truck, or (FFS) streetcar keeps moving slowly, inexorably forward, the turkeys will get out of the way. They're not that stupid.
Why not just run em over?

Bits of dead animal can be really hard to remove from under your vehicle, and after a few days, they stink like hell. A friend of mine hit an already-dead deer on the highway late one night, and multiple trips through a car wash were not enough to dislodge the venison from under his car. Smelled for a couple of weeks.
Also, the TLF will find you.
