There oughta be a law banning antique vehicles, slow trucks, and cars with mattresses on top from the interstate.

these days are probably kept in better condition than the average car or truck. This one - not so much.

There ought to be a law against everything that annoys me.

Is that Audi from CT using our roads. Should have been stopped before entering the state. We should build a wall between Massachusetts and Connecticut and make Connecticut pay for it.

Chisel it off!

It's a shortcut to New York City.

But it's also a buffer between here and NYC

Absolutely. A direct connect-cut.

"I'd rather be dead in Massachusetts than alive in Connecticut"

they're paying more in tolls than others. So that's some consolation.

Unless that Audi has an E-ZPass (can't see in the picture), they may well be ignoring the bill in the mail.

As far as I know, the only states Massachusetts has agreements with to honor each other's registration cancellation due to pay by plate bills are NH and Maine (both of which want to move to pay by plate, but can't reasonably do it unless they have a way of making Massachusetts vehicles pay). CT is thinking about restoring tolls, but until they do, they have no incentive to agree with Massachusetts to cancel registrations over unpaid tolls.

When AET was introduced, there was a conscious decision not to worry about drivers from outside of MA/NH/ME who never paid the tolls because the amount of tolls lost from that was far exceeded by the costs of continuing to accept cash (similar to introducing Proof of Payment for the Green Line and Commuter Rail: you might go from collecting fares on 99% of trips to 95% of trips, but the cost of paying people to get that 4% is more than the fares you're missing out on).

It was on it's way to the levee, but the levee was dry.

Especially when lugging up steep and twisty mountain grades like the one depicted in the ad.

The fact that better, safer cars are presently being made contributes much to the fact that overheating of cars is far less common than it used to be, and yet it's still better to take care of one's car and not neglect necessary services.

Based on all that welding visible in the photo, I'd say someone's put a lot of work into this beast. I'm bettin' there's some sort of BA mill under those hood pins, of course with any project involving 60+ y.o. vehicle, the best laid plans...

The graphics in Fallout4 are getting really good

When playing Fallout 4, my son found the Bedford Rail Depot. He then followed what we know as the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway in our time line (still a rail line in the Fallout 4 world) and used other recognizable landmarks to find our neighborhood.
