E Line is dead; take a bus instead

The MBTA reports dead trains aplenty on the E Line past Brigham Circle, and is advising riders to try to squish onto a 39 bus instead, at least until 7 p.m.

The MBTA suspended service between
Brigham Circle and Heath Street at 3:30. And I'll give you odds that the "disabled trains" "E"xcuse - which was NOT mentioned in the alerts issued 20 minutes BEFORE the 3:30 to 7 pm closure was implemented , is a red herring.
Other dead trains
So many dead Green Line trains because of the recent snow that they don't have enough cars for full service, and this is the easiest to truncate.

Lots of Veterans and VA staff in the lurch
This is just unacceptable. If the state does in fact have a billion dollars for the Green Line (the GLX), why o why do you not build a dedicated Green Line ROW from Bingham to Heath and strengthen the Back Bay trunk. That should be priority number one for the Green Line.
Or they could take a cue from other cities
around the world and realize that "in-street" running is not the evil demonic monster that previous managements have brainwashed us into erroneously believing. For one thing, that would be far less expensive.

Same cancellation today
Just got the alert. No E service Brigham to Heath until 7 pm. Passengers directed to a fate worse than death - the 39 bus.
Interesting coincidence that they choose to shut down the one portion of the Green Line management would like to permanently close. And during peak hour no less. As for the trains without A/C nonsense, I've endured many a commute where the A/C was marginal or non-existent. Never stopped them from keeping the trains in service - and we all managed to survive the trip.
So, for the second day in a row, I call "red herring" on this tactic.
