There must not have been any
There must not have been any Trump protests scheduled today.

What the f**ck?
Can someone explain? Grown adult humans dressed as furry creatures? Why?
Huh?
Can someone explain? Grown adult humans getting upset over other grown adult humans dressing as furry creatures? When said furry creature humans aren't hurting anyone?
Sounds like someone got a
Sounds like someone got a little overheated in their furry suit yesterday.
Nope
Sounds like someone needs tinfoil under his MAGA hat.
I find urban folk cosplaying rednecks to be far more amusing.
That's a weird comment
Coming from someone whose username is an alternate spelling for a word that means "chest or public wig."
Primal Fear
I don't see anyone getting upset, but I will offer this.
My kids call this the troll-lol-lol site because of the way many posters here call everyone racist nazis then exhibit racist nazi behavior themselves. Well, one of them caught a glimpse of the furry photo and yells "Arg! Furries!!!!" then one of my other kids does the same and calls her friend over and the friend also screams.
Kids know creepiness. They are born with a detector. I spent the next ten minutes rating creepiness with them. It wasn't scientific, but for what it was worth- the creepiest things by response:
Hillary
Mister Rogers
Any protester in Seattle
AOC
and the creepiest... furries. Hands down.
I was surprised Bob Ross didn't creep anyone out. In fact he seems to be some sort of cool icon to the kids nowadays.
"Creepy"
Your kids are naive. This word is so overused by young people to the point there are different definitions of it. Like none of the people you list would have been called "creepy" 20 years ago. Back then, the word was limited to Mark David Chapman-types, now it's just about anything, including people in furry costumes.
It's the same thing with the word awkward. When I hear a high school kid describe someone as 'awkward" I pretty much have no idea what they are trying to say. Is the person shy, boisterous, an a-hole....? Who knows?
Of course his kids are naive
We are talking about a poseur who thinks that putting his kids in the car and driving around yelling "ni hao" at Asians out the window is an appropriate family activity. https://www.universalhub.com/comment/608893#comment-608893
For the record
For the record, they got in the car of their own free will and by their own power.
The oldest has been taking Mandarin classes. She helps out now with basic statements like "We beat Japan" and "Do you like cats?".
Plus now she can translate if any of them say anything other than Ni Hao back to me. Only one person has complained and that is you and I don't need anyone to translate you. You say what you always say... "I am offended on everyone's behalf and large groups need me to say things for them because they are not good at playing victim".
"Ni hao" story
There is a zero percent chance this occurred. Kids driving in a car with their parents are usually horrified if they're parents say anything unexpected, much less yelling unfunny non sequiturs out the window. Kids would only consider doing this alone with their friends, if at all.
You really have to be suspect of any poster with a username containing "Boston" or a Boston-area location or theme. Also any username with a take-off of the Boston accent by replacing "r" with '"ah". Ubiquitous posters, all of them.
Then a funny thing happened....
I also drive by crowded commuter rail platforms and bleat "Baaaaaaaaaaaaaah".
My kids remind me to do that at this point.
Keep digging
And keep projecting your phobias on your "kids".
If you really have any.
Well....
I yell "FORE" when driving by occupied golf courses.
You think I am afraid of Asians and sheeplike commuters?
I think...
I think you're a cranky old straight white man who's angry that the world isn't all about him any more.
LOL AOC
Im not a big fan of hers but I am thoroughly enjoying watching the geriatric white male demographic absolutely losing their minds over her.
Hamhead Hannity is even freaked out by her.
I thought you were all supposed to be big strong maga men?
Do not underestimate the Maury crowd
AOC - The world will end in 12 years unless we pass laws
AOC - "We need to invent technology that’s never even been invented yet.”
That is. Some scar-y. Shit.
Yawn
You might benefit from learning how to quote from original sources of information.
Not surprising
Your kids would find Fred Rogers creepy, if their value system is as deranged as yours. Kindness must be utterly alien to them.
Who is upset?
Do you have an answer or just your usual snide remarks?
Did you read what I replied to?
Of course not.
Because
it's more dignified than wearing a MAGA hat.
/But seriously, who cares? It doesn't hurt anyone.
Was that a trick question?
Is "because they enjoy doing it" not the right answer?
PT
-- Is "because they enjoy doing it" not the right answer? --
Not the right answer, yup, according to PT.
Psychology Today writes that it is because they feel too inferior to cavort about without a costume to hide behind. They do not enjoy the costume as much as they enjoy not being socially accountable for their actions as themselves.
"That wasn't me... it was my fursona".
Yeah...
...about those costumes...
(and secret feelings of inferiority and all that)
It's sort of like
... adults cosplaying in Patriots or RedSox gear, but less douchy.
Just don't get your fantasy nights mixed up
Not really a suspension bridge, and even if it were,
not the world's shortest.
I Learned Something!
I was all "Well, I'll show this Boston-hating anon!", so I looked up "World's Shortest Suspension Bridge". Turns out anon is correct.
The bridge in the Public Garden WAS the world's smallest suspension bridge until it was changed to a girder bridge with the suspension aspect being decorative only, approximately 1921.

The smallest now is apparently in Maine.

I believe this is the first instance of actual knowledge gained by me via reading an anon comment in U-Hub. Congratulations !!!

Imagine that!
The world's smallest suspension bridge and the world's smallest Trader Joe's, all within a few blocks! The Hub of the Universe indeed!
