Cop saves life of man choking on chicken bone at Roslindale KFC
Boston Police report an off-duty officer waiting in line at the KFC on American Legion Highway in Roslindale a couple of weeks ago sprang into action when another man rushed up to the counter.
Police say that once Officer Peter Cazeau realized the man, Alexander Lisek, 45, of Roslindale was choking - he had his hands up by his throat - and not getting ready to argue about an order - he got behind him and applied the Heimlich Maneuver:
In short time, Mr. Lisek regained his breath after regurgitating a chicken bone that had lodged in his throat. After guiding Mr. Lisek to a nearby chair, a relieved Cazeau asked him if he was okay and, not surprisingly, was thrilled when he heard the following six words, “Thank you. You saved my life.”

I could see that officer making...
colonel some day.
Imagine dying at a KFC on American Legion Hwy,
or anywhere, from a chicken bone lodged in your throat. Smh.
Mama Cass?
I've heard both ham sandwiches and chicken bones....
Good Job!
That is more helpful than the officer sitting in front of my house in his car texting on a detail as the BWS dug up a sidewalk to fix a leaking pipe.
If he wasn't there someone might have missed the huge sidewalk closed signs.
Imagine...
Imagine actually liking KFC so much that you swallowed a bone.
You have to consider...
that perhaps the bones are the tastiest part.
KFC??
I'm surprised there's still a KFC somewhere in the Boston area. All the ones that I'm familiar with are either converted to something else, or demolished and replaced with something bigger.
In addition to this one
There's one on Washington Street in West Roxbury, just north of the Dedham line. And I think there's one on one of the other Washington Streets, in Codman Square (somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that one).
One on Columbia Rd. as well.

Brighton
There’s one on North Brighton Ave just past Cambridge St.
