Commonwealth Ave and Beacon St (not as much since it is down to two lanes) just seem to encourage stupid driving.

This suggests the car ran the red light at high speed rolling the SUV.

Because they are overbuilt roads and quasi-highways that shouldn’t be two lanes in each direction. They encourage speeding and reckless driving.

These roads predate cars, just like most of Boston's roads downtown. When Back Bay was planned a highway was a road that went over a hill.

This is exactly what happened. I saw it live. It was so surreal. Thought it was that stupid movie by Ryan Reynolds being filmed for a second and realized it was serious.

People fly too fast down Comm Ave PLUS if you are not from around here the back to back lights on either side of the mall confuse drivers on the cross streets, not realizing that the red light 75 feet after the green light you just went through applies to you.
