What's black and white and gross all over? One man's penis behind a newspaper on the Orange Line, police say

Transit Police report arresting a Haverhill man they say would board a nearly empty Orange Line car, sit next to a woman and then expose and fondle himself while using a newspaper to hide what he was doing from the rest of the passengers.

Police have formally charged Juan Tavarez, 41, of Haverhill, for an incident around 11 a.m. yesterday on an outbound Orange Line train between Wellington and Malden Center, but say he's also a suspect for two similar incidents on the Orange Line last year.

According to police:

While traveling on an Orange line train an unknown male took a seat directly next to the victim (Victim thought odd due to the fact the train was nearly empty). The male in possession of a newspaper used it to shield others view - except the victim's), removed his genitals looked at the victim and committed a lewd act.
