The Dorchester Reporter has some photos of a seal relaxing in the Neponset up by Lower Mills last week.

There are multiple stories on here over the years about bears visiting the city or surrounding suburbs.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts website lists the range of black bears in Massachusetts (which are the only species of bear you'd expect to see on this side of the country) and it depends on what you mean by Greater Boston. Their "established range" is mostly outside 495, while their "expanding range" is inside 495 but still outside 128. But it also says their population is growing so hey who knows.

Inside 128. Maybe Metro Boston? I looked up Greater Boston online and somehow it included parts of Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
