Red Line rider bites man as train hurtles through Dorchester, police say
Transit Police report arresting a Dorchester man on charges he pursued another man on the Red line and bit him somewhere between Fields Corner and Andrew on Sunday afternoon.
Police say Bernadino Baran-Garcia, 26 and already awaiting trial for a stabbing in Edward Everett Square last year, started yelling at another man and that man's girlfriend, neither of whom he knew, shortly after 1 p.m.
The male, later identified as Baran-Garcia, 26, of Dorchester then began to physically assault the victim without provocation. The victim attempted to create distance from Baran-Garcia but was unsuccessful. At one point Baran-Garcia grabbed hold of the victim's arm and bit into it. The victim's girlfriend attempted to stop the assault and was grabbed by her hair and pulled sharply by Baran-Garcia.
The officers encountered Baran-Garcia at the bottom of the escalator acting aggressively by pounding on his chest and using profanities. Officers approached and observed a 40 OZ can of beer protruding from his jacket pocket and the odor of alcohol about his person.
Police say it does not appear Baran-Garcia bit hard enough to break skin. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - shod foot.
Innocent, etc.

Does everyone have both a Fields Corner and an Andrew?
I suspect I know where a person's "Andrew" is, but where exactly is their "Fields Corner"?
Well..
The MBTA seems to know where one's Andrew is - every time a car approaches that station, you hear "Entering Andrew..." - take that for what you will...
Well...
