Imagine if we had a functioning central government to coordinate such purchases. Instead, however, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today:
NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE, RI and MA are launching a regional purchasing consortium to jointly procure PPE, tests, ventilators and other medical equipment.
This will increase our market power and help prevent price-gouging.
States are stronger when we work together.

Will the states be giving back all that money they take from people's paychecks?
Is it true that they no longer teach how the government works in schools anymore? Because the underlying concept of the United States Constitution seems lost on many.
What are you talking about?

A 1981 book envisioned nine nations of North America. One of them was “New England,” basically formed from the 6 states. We’d lose Fairfield County Connecticut to the Mid-Atlantic but pick up the Atlantic provinces of Canada. With the politics of the coronavirus as well as the politics of everything else, we seem to be heading closer to that all the time. I’d live there.

We had Michigan and upstate NY too. The Apple was its own country, defined as "like Yankeedom, but materialistic."
