NBC Boston interviewed a Dorchester man outraged that State Police busted up a party he threw at the Encore Casino, because it's been like six or seven whole months since the pandemic started and "a lot of people are kind of over it at this point."
Separately, Live Boston reports that around 3 a.m. on Sunday, a man in a car with fresh bullet holes showed up at Whidden Hospital in Everett with gunshot wounds - possibly as the culmination of a fight that spilled out of the casino. Everett and State Police could be seen going in and out of the casino after learning of the shooting.

Look, you can't expect people to just put their entire life on hold for this pandemic. Life goes on, and people have to get back to the important business of... [checks notes] ... partying in an overpriced casino.

Yeah, it's a lot easier for me to sympathize with "it's been seven months and I haven't been able to touch another human being" or "I haven't seen my mother in seven months."
I haven't seen my mother since February, and don't know when I will again, and that is a different shape of thing than "why did they have to cancel this convention?" or "but I want to have dinner in a restaurant."

But bro how could I live my life without going to a party with a dj? I'd just die bro. So unjust.

Those who chose to downplay 170,000 (and counting) deaths dont get it. But what even more people apparently don't get is that covid19 causes a lot of misery that does not result in death.
And some of that misery lasts for a long time, perhaps forever.

Why is every local TV website a spammy, video autoplaying nightmare? Do they think people enjoy that? It just makes me instantly hit the close button.

Almost every 'news' website is a spammy auto-playing ad filled nightmare that looks like Times Square in the 1970s and the site designers can't figure out why everyone is running ad/video block browser extensions out the wazzoo to make their sites look normal and respectable.

Six months in and no one in

Six months in and no one in America has any idea of how widespread it is or who is infecting whom. Tracing people won't get anywhere, since we are so suspicious of tracking. Willfully petulant people blithely ignoring the best way to try and combat this when we have no weapons against it. But damm the torpedoes, send the kids to school, party till the end of the world, re-elect the POSUS who's led us into the abyss. Well, guess, who's winning.... (psst, it's not us... and stay away from that light at the end of the tunnel, it isn't daylight)
