I use two Ls, but either spelling is correct.

I know that’s the rule for spelling “canceled”/“cancelled”. Then only problem is, since nobody’s in charge of English, which is why there can’t be a decision on this word, why is there a correct or incorrect spelling of *anything*?

It's wild how whole cities are throwing away their peak tourism business season, only to hurt Trump and not at all based on science - John Keith or Fish I guess.

But as mentioned in other Salem Halloween post-any protest in Salem should be welcome. Only fun gatherings not allowed. BLM world saving protest would be fiiiiine.

Salem Protests:
Short duration
Social distancing
Mask use
Mainly locals
All outdoors
No increase in Covid-19 related to them
Salem Halloween:
Long Duration (all October)
Little social distancing
People from out of state that haven't quarantined
People crazy enough to come to a crowded place when they've been warned it's dangerous
The example of places like Sturgis, SD
Lots of small, tight indoor spaces
OK, the tourists have been pretty good about masks. But Salem has already been in the red zone once. I'm seeing more and more out of state plates, many from places where they still believe that Covid-19 is a Democrat hoax. The worry is not just about an increase in Covid-19 in Salem, but about the places to which the tourists will return.
I worry that despite all warnings, Salem will be the biggest national super-spreader yet,due to Halloween. But go ahead and whine about the protests.
