After second successful robbery of a Fenway bank, man splurged on a cab to a McDonald's across town, feds say

Wanted for holding up a Chase branch in the Fenway

Surveillance photos from first robbery, via FBI.

A man who held up the Chase Bank branch at 280 Huntington Ave. on Dec. 30 struck again around 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, but this time he ditched his outer clothing and then hopped in a car for a ride over to the McDonald's on Massachusetts Avenue in Newmarket Square, the FBI reports.

The man gave a teller a demand note, said he had a gun, then fled on foot before his change of clothes and cab ride, the FBI says.

He's described as white, 5'5" to 5'8" with a medium build and gray hair around his ears.

If he looks familiar, contact the FBI at 857-386-2384.

I’d splurge on something a little classier than a Big Whopper.

Did the teller ask, "Do want fries with that?"

There are a number of other items for sale in that parking lot, so lunch may not have been the motivation.

He’s better off handing a note to the McDonald’s cashier he would have probably gotten much more money.
