That means if the adult mobile store across the street survived, they will be sitting pretty once this place opens. Truckers need their titillations, I suppose.

Still does drug testing on truck drivers...

yeah, that system is far from foolproof.

They still randomly test drivers and marijuana is still on the list, stupidly.

legal weed was the lack of a roadside test for impairment akin to an alcohol breathalyzer. I would rather truckers only get high on their own time, not on the road.

I think the most commonly-used tests (of urine) can only tell if you've ingested in a sliding window of days or weeks, depending how often you use. But it's all they've got, however unfair to responsible consumers.

Just like alcohol, you can do field tests for impairment. And if you're caught driving impaired, you lose your CDL license for a year.

But if you have 2 or 10 beers the night before a random test it doesn't show up on a breathalyzer. If you have a joint or whatever 2 or more weeks before a random test, you have to go through a lengthy, costly, ridiculous process to get back in service...if you're not fired.

Doesn't seem right, does it?

Assignations are an important complement.

Now, that's progress.

I thought this was universal hub not universal Chelsea

Nobody from Boston ever went there?

Furthermore, the original Holmes definition of “the Hub” was not Boston itself, but the State House. If you want a blog that only deals with happenings occurring at 24 Beacon Street you need to find another site.

That is a shitty location. VERY shitty.

Warehouses, parking lots, gas lines, bumpy roads.

One visit to that 'destination' would make people not to go back. Its just that bad. Its awful to get to, and once you arrive you're like "ew".

I didn't even know where the strip club was until a few years ago. Its just in a very usual spot.

The only saving grace for this place is close to the casino. Might get some Casino people to buy some.

Mystic Brewery wasn't too far from this location, and was on a main drag (Williams) and couldn't make it selling beer. Not sure how a pot shop nearby tucked in a corner would do any better.

Even the dispensary in the Parkway shopping center on the northside of town has sparse customers. Feel bad for those guys as its minority owned and was a battle to get it to open. Yet I see little customers go in there or parked out front.

I mean I am not better, but I have a card, and you can't use your MMJ card at retail locations and still get medical pricing. Sorry, I'll continue to head into town.

That alone will keep them in good stead. You need wead if you work there.

This used to be one of the worst places to ride a bicycle, but Everett repaved its section a year ago, and Chelsea a couple of years earlier, so it's no worse than any other local road now. It used to be more pothole than pavement.

No bus route goes anywhere near here, unless maybe one of the casino neighborhood shuttles does.

How certain that the cannabis shop won't have strippers?

Weed stinks almost as bad as tobacco and the smoke is just as harmful. I regret voting to legalize this stuff. Now I’m surrounded by the stench. A guy on the bus reeked so badly yesterday that people had to move to get away from him.

plenty of people were smoking the devil's lettuce long before it was lawfully sold in a storefront.

It has increased in public places in recent years. The marijuana industry doesn’t want to deal with the issue. They depend on smokers and don’t do them any favors either.
A kid blowing marijuana smoke in my face on the street actually claimed he had to smoke to ease the pain from lung cancer.

The Law is you can't smoke in public. Medical or Retail. It doesn't matter.

Don't blame the industry, blame cops who wont issue tickets for this. They are suppose to.

…. smokers. In no particular order.
Same as the tobacco industry.

Would you blame Roche Bros if someone walked out of their DTX store with a six pack of beer, walked over to Boston common and cracked one open?

Still feel the same way?

There's no difference. Take your anger elsewhere, its not needed here.

When it comes to “nips,” yes, those who complain about public consumption do blame the stores that sell it.

I don’t blame stores that sell cannabis for the idiots who feel empowered to light up a joint anywhere, but it is true that the air in a lot of places smelled better before legalization.

Beer doesn’t create secondhand smoke.

Still feeling peevish?
Have a beer. Or an edible.

You started with "the guy on the bus reeked" you didn't say he was smoking on the bus.

The conversation has evolved. Try to keep up.

Legalization or not, there's always going to be a smelly on public transit. It's just the way of living in a city.
