Body of swimmer recovered from Pleasure Bay

WBZ reports two brothers swam out into Pleasure Bay this afternoon and got into trouble. Only one was able to make it back to shore.

Has there been an inordinate amount of drownings this year or is the news just publishing more stories about it than normal? Anecdotally it seems very high to me. Anyone have the stats?

I should try to learn again. I flunked YMCA swimming lessons when I was 12 and spend a lot time in or on the water now.
