Police: Teen shows up at East Boston park with a loaded gun; might have gotten away, but he tripped running across the street and the gun went flying

Boston Police report arresting a 14-year-old on various gun charges after an incident Friday night in Lombardi Park in East Boston.
Police say officers converged on the park around 10:30 p.m. as part of an unspecified investigation:
The officers were approaching a group of males who had gathered in the park when the suspect fled on foot while clutching the waistband area of his pants. As the officers pursued the suspect, he tripped and fell to the ground while crossing Liverpool Street. Simultaneously, the officers observed a firearm fall to the ground next to the suspect. The officers quickly gained control of the weapon and placed the suspect in custody as the now unruly group from the park began to gather around them. The firearm was later determined to be a loaded .380 caliber Ruger handgun with a defaced serial number.
The teen, too young to have his name released, was charged with being delinquent for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, police say.

Easy
Start your own newspaper or blog, work your ass off to build significance and readership, and write stories about the subjects you care about.
Don't complain about what Adam posts or doesn't post. Get off your lazy ass and create something useful.

I'm just asking to focus on systemic problems instead of a random teen.

I notice you don’t cite which Boston Common stabbings and daylight drug busts that are absent from UHub’s coverage. Please share examples. How many Common stabbings have been missed since January 1? Just curious.

The specific complaint was about stabbings not covered on UHub. If there is a stabbing story posted here, it undercuts the original complaint, not my response.

There's plenty of posts along the lines of, 'Mass and Cass stabbing', or murder or the dealers that were busted on Southampton or the Mildred Hailey quadroshooting (my new word, by the way the FBI considers it a 'mass shooting') the other night.
Generally, they get one comment or less. The Millenium Park wildlife pics usually get more.
You want to add to it? Go to the BPD website (a specific link is usually posted here by AG on many stories) and search for the crimes. He might be willing to post them.
Because
AG has said this previously: he focuses on things that aren't necessarily covered in mainstream. And what he's interested in covering for us.
As others have noted, you can search out what you think you need to read elsewhere.
Adam is one person and he
Adam is one person and he catches what he sees and thinks is interesting. I've also noticed that he posts when there seems to be a theme developing, in this case a lot of teens in this particular area with guns... And I say that as a life long Chelsea guy.
So how do you influence what he writes about? You bring it to his attention then tag him on Twitter. Over ten years ago we never had positive stories on this side of the Charles/Harbor because there wasn't much online about the positive so I chose to write my own blogs and take photos and found stories and would tag Adam and sometimes he would simply Retweet and sometimes he would post. I did that when I worked in Fields Corner as well.
This isn't WHDH or NBC10 it's one person depending on what he can personally find and what others point him to. If you think this area needs more positive then please join me in tagging that stuff! If you think another area needs more negative then by all means fund that info and share it.

Summer vacation, nowhere near a school.
Also, school police are still there. They just have a new name and no longer have arrest powers. They never had guns to begin with, though.
