The Suffolk County District Attorney's office has, and I realize this will be hard for somebody in your position to understand, never forsworn prosecution of violent crimes, such as, oh, hitting somebody in the head with a brick.
Breaking somebody's car window with a brick is an act of vandalism, and malicious destruction of property, which should be prosecuted in some way or other.
Also, supposed somebody was in that car, and this act resulted in serious injury, or possibly worse to that individual? Everybody should stop and think about it.

Well, I hope you are right and that the victim wasn't recording the offender on their phone or held a cup of coffee.

If he broke your car window with the brick
I dont believe it would be prosecuted, (according to the list the District attorney released )
But a violent assault will be.

Where is "here" for you?
Because it's apparently not in Boston, or even in Suffolk County.
