Election roundup: Forums this week; Whatever happened to Kevin the pothead?

The big one is Wednesday, when Annissa Essaibi George and Michelle Wu face off in a debate on WBZ at 7 p.m.

But maybe get your popcorn ready for a Zoom forum on Tuesday between the next city councilor for District 7 (Roxbury), Tania Fernandes Anderson, and her opponent, perennial homophobic grouch Roy Owens, who has already declared he's running for Congress next year. Starts at 7 p.m.

Speaking of Congress, US Rep. Stephen Lynch of South Boston has endorsed Bridget Nee-Walsh for one of the four at-large council seats:

When we have someone who comes from here, who recognizes the challenges but is willing to step up, it's our responsibility to support them and that’s why I’m here.

Has it really been five years since Massachusetts voters dragged the state down to hell by approving recreational marijuana? We wonder where Kevin is today. Leavenworth, no doubt.

One marijuana too many...

Roy must have taken a strong position on Q4 back then, right? I assume something to do with turning everyone gay.

I guess the politics of the whole thing prevents dispensary owners from thumbing their noses at the opposition so blatantly, but "Kevin's" would be a hilarious name for a dispensary and/or line of cannabis products.

I was just showing this to relatives yesterday. Because it is so hilarious.

Poor Karen - no way to protect Kevin and Mickayallayah from The Marijuanas!

Five years ago, we made the first step towards becoming Luxembourg. This November will be the second.

In November we will have the world’s second highest per-capita GDP!

Or maybe we’re going to become a Grand Duchy. Or start speaking Luxembourgish. Whatever it is, I’m sure it will be fun. It’s fun to be Luxembourg!

The role of Luxembourg has already been filled by Delaware.

Depending on your personal views (and your knowledge of Luxembourg), this could be read any number of ways.

My advice: try it again on a post with more comments and see if you can get more bites there.

This commercial promises a pot shop in every neighborhood. So how come I have to go to the next neighborhood over for mine? Politicians.
