I remember that you're a TERF, so you don't need to be all passive-aggressive about "some people."

A few years ago he was kinda lost in the crowd of little smug contrarian conservo-dorks that exist on Twitter and needed his own shtick so he veered into kids and sex and gender and what "real" men are, etc.

He's still from that same pile of Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro types but by ratcheting up the gender shit his insane followers are now making terroristic threats against institutions devoted to curing pedriatric cancer and the children under their care.

And this is all tacitally approved by one of our two main political parties.

Let's not forget that Deselby thinks these threats are not worth taking seriously, and are instead a ploy perpetrated by hospital staff to change the subject:

How this story is playing out is also a good example of how people trying to defend the indefensible or change the subject, make the discussion about the discussion, not the underlying subject.

In this case, the subject is changed from [gender-affirming care] to alleged "threats" and "terrorism." We don't know anything about how many threats there were, the nature of those threats, or how credible they were. So, a good job changing the subject.

Even these threats are alleged in Deselby's eyes. But they are all to real to hospital staff and patients, and to those in the community looking on as digital cowards try to sow terror in our city. It is deselby that keeps changing the subject under these articles, from the very real spectre of violence that hangs over this issue to their absurd conspiracy theories and misinformation.

Who made them is a mystery.

We've had several "false flag" hoaxes over the last few years. Done for political purposes or personal aggrandizement as a "victim." I'm sure you can think of a few.

I used to work in a place in Boston that got bomb threats. It's not like we called the Bomb Squad, because they were ridiculous. We did a walk though and kept doing business.

Bomb threats with a burner or from one of the few pay phones are a low-risk enterprise. However, if publicized, they can be used to blame opposing participants in political discourse.

"Stochastic terrorism" because you say you don't think it's a good idea to perform elective mastectomies on 15 year olds.

is that the news headline this morning is not “Governor Baker and Massachusetts republicans Denounce Anti-trans Threats”. Nope, not a peep coming from any of them. So while we don’t know the names of the sick fucks doing this we DO know the name of the leader of this state, and we know he ain’t interested in doing shit to stop it. And the only reason I can think of for that is charlie baker and his fellow losers in the GOP don’t give a shit.
