Boston Police report officers arrived at a car crash outside 595 River St. in Mattapan just as the driver was "reaching for a firearm inside the engine compartment of his motor vehicle as the Boston Fire Department was rendering aid" around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police say officers were able to quickly grab the Stoeger STR-9 with eleven rounds in the magazine and arrest Len Kelley, 53, of Mattapan, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Innocent, etc.

I wonder what happened to the other 4 rounds? The Stoeger STR-9 comes with a 15 round magazine out of the box.
The only reason I can think of for storing a gun in the engine compartment in your car is if you plan on some kind of hijacking operation if you drive around people with small volume, high price packages for a living. But folks say I'm criminal-minded.

When things go bad, no one will suspect anything when you suddenly need to check your carburetor. Quite a wily one.
