I hear there's a movement of ,fed up, working, taxpaying citizens who are righteously snapping with anger bigger than the criminal's. Standing ovation. Can't count on the criminal justice system and laws that enable the behaviorto perpetuate. Don't fuck with the Beacon Hill Association. You stepped in their back yard.
Good on her!!!
Good on her!!!
I'm very glad they didn't
I'm very glad they didn't spray paint that miscreant. I wonder if the video is enough to put out a warrant for the taggers arrest?
Gee if only there were some public entity
Which could maybe do something about this so that it didn't happen again.
Nah, can't think of anyone in particular.
RIP that mask
And hood off and expose this ahole
Shame
Kind of surprised Harvard students are resorting to this kind of behavior.
Possibly, but there are kiosks everywhere
Selling tourists and posers this very merch, which seems more likely
She's stressed
Maybe she's on edge knowing that her legacy admission status is soon to be in question. /S
Its unlikely to be a Harvard student
They're not back from summer vacation yet.
Also, Harvard students don't tend to venture much beyond the boundaries of their campus. Charles Street in Boston might as well be the far side of the moon to them.
Really?
The Beacon Hill Pub was a Harvard Bar for years.
Besides, the young woman who thinks she is in a train yard in the Bronx circa 1981 said she was only 17 at the end of the video.
Little young for Harvard.
Not uncommon to be 17 starting college
Speaking as a September baby myself
I started college at 17 as my
I started college at 17 as my birthday is in November.
It's too bad she's not wearing a Celtics jersey
or we could speculate about whether she plays for the Celtics.
October baby here...
I never spray painted anything on anything; Although, once I did use a pen and put a swastika on St. Joseph's in Roxbury's rear door. The nuns were pissed and after an encounter with a ruler in the coatroom explained to me why what I did was so bad. It was recess and we were playing war which didn't turn out to be a good excuse. This was back when COMBAT! was one of the highest rated shows on TV. I've never felt the urge to create any type of graffiti anywhere since then. NOt evn in a restroom.
Graffiti is everywhere
Hopefully when the Red Line is shut down in October the T will clean the offensive murals that stretch from Savin Hill to JFK station.
Perhaps
She was just writing "all Romans go home" and the store owner was upset at her poor latin grammar.
But what have the Romans
done for us, lately?
Which Store Did The Woman Come From?
Is it The Flat Of The Hill? (A place which was broken into earlier in the week).
I guess I am buying throw pillows and handbags I don't need just to support this balsy woman for doing the right thing.
Anyone who defends the tagger, GFY.
This is caucasity at it's
This is caucasity at it's best.
Little white girl spraying nonsense on a brick wall and older white woman grabs her and holds her against her will.
Now I'm not saying the woman wasn't ballsy but I am saying if the tagger was a POC I think this would have gone down a little differently.
You know your comment is racist, right?
Just checking.
Did the spray painter say “I’m 17 bro”?
Because if so, that is so frustrating that she thinks that makes her immune. And, geez, I hope it doesn’t make her immune.
Robbery spree?
I think some info is missing.
Sorry, left that out
Somebody'd been breaking into Charles Street stores.
Galling
What gets me the most is how she barely even tries to get away, even once she’s being restrained, and instead tries to play the victim to onlookers with “she’s hurting me, I’m 17”. Unbelievable that she a) thought that would be an excuse and b) is so convinced she won’t be held accountable.
That’s it?
Does the girl’s age enable her to evade charges and punishment? I’m wondering why they didn’t detain her, call police, and then wait for the arrival of a BPD car? She didn’t appear to struggle or resist too much while the two adults got control of her spray can. I would have expected a different ending to this incident.
