Man shot in the head and back on Homes Avenue in Dorchester

A man was shot on Homes Avenue near Topliff Street around 4 p.m.

The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

As many as six shots may have been fired.

Nearby, police found a car crashed into a house.
