Seized ghost gun, magazine and bullets, photo by BPD.
Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old they say fired several shots in the area of Harrison Avenue and Dudley Street shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
An officer leaving work at the nearby B-2 police station heard the shots and got out of his car to try to figure out where the shots came from, police say:
The officer immediately observed a suspect in the middle of the street. The suspect made eye contact with the officer and ran from the scene.
A foot pursuit ensued and the officer observed the suspect to be clutching his waistband. The officer was able to apprehend the suspect in the area of Shabaz Way and Eustis Street, and immediately recovered a firearm. The firearm was later determined to be a Ghost Gun with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine.
Other officers found shell casings in front of the Peking House takeout place on Harrison Avenue.
The teen, too young to have his name released, was charged as delinquent for discharging a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

...how (often?) the local cops have this habit of being able to subdue people, in the moment that where firearms were reportedly used, without firing a shot of their own.
Nerves of steal, training, policy? Idk what it is but it's seems damn impressive and professional AF.

People really dogpiled on her for apologizing to that guy’s family when the cop killed him. I’m not going to say I love cops on the whole but they’re trained pretty well here and, as you say, can resolve a lot of situations without shooting. I have to run so I can’t cite anything right now but BPD does some good training and community work.
