Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old for shooting a man at Dudley and Warren streets in Nubian Square in Roxbury shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday.
Police say their victim, 29, was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.
Shortly after, Officers observed two males on Moreland Street matching the provided descriptions. One suspect, a 17-year-old male, was detained without incident, while the second, a 15-year-old male, attempted to flee. Following a brief foot pursuit, Officers, with assistance from the Boston Housing Police, apprehended the suspect.
Both teens, from Dorchester, were charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, and trespassing, police say, adding the younger kid also faces a charge of possession of a Class B substance for the plastic bag containing what appeared to be crack that officers found in one of his socks during booking.
