Police say they nab man driving around Hyde Park with a loaded gun, drugs
Boston Police report the arrest of a Hyde Park man on gun and drug charges after he was pulled out of a car in Cleary Square yesterday during as part of a drug investigation.
Police say drug-unit officers pulled over a car on Hyde Park Avenue, just past River Street down from the E-18 police station, around 7:30 p.m. and:
Recovered a loaded .38 caliber Colt revolver, three plastic bags of marijuana, two bags of cocaine, $680.00 in U.S. Currency and other evidence from inside a bag which had been in the suspect’s possession while he was a passenger inside the vehicle.
Joel Skyers, 21, of Hyde Park, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, distribution of marijuana and possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute, police say.
