Update: Approved.
The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to let a Dunkin' Donuts franchisee open an outlet at 157 Seaport Blvd., across the street from the World Trade Center, where it formerly had an outlet that had to be shut due to extensive renovation work at the center.
Franchise owner Watermark Donut Co. attorney Thomas Miller said the new outlet will be take-out only and has enough space for up to 20 people to queue up for their coffee and related food items, between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. There will be no seats.
The company has 30 Dunks franchises in the Boston area.
Nobody spoke against the proposal.

Dare Magoo say that Dunkin’ Donuts is yucky. Magoo does say so. Magoo.
Is their $1. espresso going downhill?

The last two I had were just so-so.
The Seaport deserves better.
The Seaport *has* better

There's already a few better coffee places in that area. Turns out there's still enough demand for Dunkins to keep it going anyway.

The former WTC Dunks had lots of comfortable seating and was a great place to just hang out while waiting for an event to start nearby.

as 30 Dunk's franchises in the Boston area."
Really? Only 30?! That doesn't seem right.
Also, what's the proper plural usage now that Dunkin' Donuts has become just Dunkin'? One Dunkin', two Dunkins'? Dunkin's doesn't look right: that's a possessive, unless you are a grocer. Also, is the nickname Dunk's, or is it Dunks, thus the plural is either Dunk'ses or Dunkses? Confusing.
I've been going off on "We add an apostrophe-ess to every restaurant name whether it needs it or not" thing for years, e.g., Legal's for Legal Sea Foods: http://mcslimjb.blogspot.com/2009/08/but-there-is-... In light of this, I would like to point out that there is no Mr. Dunk involved in the founding or ownership of this chain.
Just that franchisee

My take was that this company owns 30 Dunks in Boston, but there are other franchisees who also own Dunks in the city. Clearly there are more than 30 DDs in BOS.

Apostrophe

I absolutely agree about the "apostrophe-ization" of everything. I'm not sure why people do this. It sounds idiotic. One of the more extreme examples of this I have heard was when somebody said "I'm going to Stop & Shop's".
For a long time ...

Friendly's was officially just Friendly. They finally gave up (well, in more than one way, but that's another issue).
