The first time I ever saw one of those, about fifteen years ago, was in Paris. The driver was impeccably dressed in a perfectly cut suit, and carrying a briefcase. He looked like un avocat (a lawyer) on his way to his job in a government ministry. He did not have either a helmet or a dog.
