Jack E. Robinson won't run against Steve Lynch again

The perpetual candidate writes he's decided against running, although he doesn't say why. Two other Republicans, Keith Lepor and Vernon Harrison, are looking at taking on the incumbent.
Robinson says he commissioned a poll that found Lynch only had a 42% approval rating in the 9th District.

Rumor has it Michael Flaherty
Rumor has it Michael Flaherty is exploring a challenge.
Hopefully someone
challenges him in the primary, as the problem (IMO) has never been that Lynch is too liberal.
It could be because Jack E.
It could be because Jack E. doesn't live in Lynch's district. He live in Duxbury. And while 42 percent favorable can be unhealthy, how does Robinson see 21 percent unfavorable as "whopping?" And with 16 percent undecided, where's the other 21 percent in Jack E.'s poll? Did they just say "screw?"
Lynch too liberal?!
I think this is the first time I've heard him called a liberal. I remember Brian Joyce comparing him to George Bush. Also, I believe the reason Lynch wasn't in the Senate race was because he wasn't 'progressive' enough on the healthcare plan for the state AFL-CIO. If anything, the guy is what was once referred to as a 'lunch bucket' Democrat. Maybe things would be different if the Party had him as the standard bearer in the US Senate race.
