Dave Adams watched the lights go by on A Street under Summer Street in Fort Point yesterday. He reports:
The lights were strung in December and have been uniformly blue. Until yesterday.

Not so!
I was in the neighborhood on Super Bowl Sunday and the lights were doing the rippling rainbow effect that night. Didn't see the smiley face, though.
... in my experience
I work around the corner and walk or bike or drive under most weekday evenings. I had never seen anything but blue. A very pretty blue, mind you, but I had no idea they could be controlled. Now I have to find out how to program them!
Better
Maybe its just me but this looks much more impressive than what they're doing under 93.

I LOVE this
This is a perfect example of what a little bit of lighting can do to brighten an area. I'd love to see this being done in any area possible. With LED lighting, the cost to run them is relatively low and they have a long life before needing to be replaced.
It's art!
