A man went up to a table where two women and a man were sitting at Storyville, 90 Exeter St., on the night Feb. 8 and asked one of the women to dance. She refused and the guy responded by punching her in the mouth three times and then ran out, police told the Boston Licensing Board today. Read more.

WBZ reports one man was seriously injured when a guy leaned out of an SUV and opened fire at a group of people standing at Washington Street and Talbot Avenue Sunday night. Read more.

Boston Police report a man driving a minivan reported stolen in Quincy last night crashed head on into an MBTA bus stopped at Talbot Avenue and Lithgow Street around 9:50 a.m.

The driver was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The T driver and four passengers were also taken to local hospitals for care of non-life-threatening injuries.

Three shots fired around 7:50 p.m. at Southern and Talbot avenues, Jeff Dunham reports. Nobody hit.

Around 10:20 p.m. At least five shell casings found in front of 310 Talbot Ave., near Southern. A car at Talbot and Southern was hit.

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire in a second-floor apartment at 380 Talbot Ave. early this morning left a woman dead.

The one-alarm fire, reported at 3:50 a.m. in the former Girls Latin School building, was confined to a single apartment, the department reports. Read more.

Gregory McCoy, 27, of Dorchester, had bail set at $250,000 for his alleged role in the crash at Talbot and New England avenues last night that killed a teenage bicyclist, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, firefighters rushed to the Talbot Collision Center, 215 Talbot Ave., where they found at least two cars on fire.
