Walking by Buckley Park between W 3rd and Bolton, I have noticed spray painted graffiti in another area pointing out the unleashed dogs in the park, which I find to be hilarious. I can't imagine what is going on in the head of the person vandalizing the park ... unleashed dogs are a nuisance and bad for the neighborhood, but graffiti, no big deal. The laws don't apply to this person apparently, classic case of do as I say, not as I do.

It varies from state to state, and I'm not entirely sure what the policy is in Massachusetts. Sometimes sidewalks are public property, sometimes it's just an easement. (And I guess in practice it can be a mixture of both.) Can't seem to find any legal statement on the matter for this state.
That being said, the City of Boston has a website for viewing property listings and the map shows property lines not extending all the way to the road. Not sure how seriously that should be taken, but on its face it says sidewalks are public property.

I think we've gotten to the point where certain people assume I hate a neighborhood when I dare mention its name and ignore the positive stuff, the development stuff (whether that's positive or not is another discussion) , the feature photos.
Yeah, I write about crime in that neighborhood. I write about crime in every neighborhood, even my own.
It's true, I'll grant you I don't have the "where the X used to be" memory of that neighborhood like I do for say, my own or the neighborhood next door.
But, eh, whatever, I'll keep on writing and some people will keep on hating, which gets back to my question of why people spend so much time on a site that they just can't stand.

But maybe the nostalgic perspective is sacred to some , the bad endured with the good of things past. I got a good ''X used to be here'' story for you , from another neighborhood. I was once in a place , and there was a vault used for storage. It used to be a credit union , back when Kasanof had a bakery.
