Pumpkins gone on Pond Street in Jamaica Plain

Brendan the roving UHub photographer spotted these stones on Pond Street in Jamaica Plain the other day.

UPDATE: What was stolen were stones painted like pumpkins, not actual pumpkins.

They should be stolen.

"I hate fun." It would've been quicker.

I hate compost. Which is what you get when your neighbors carve pumpkins in September or early October and leave them outdoors until Thanksgiving.

A few small pumpkins or gourds will last weeks.

I put out my pumpkin and my festive gourds last weekend (because it's festive gourd season, m*f*'ers.), and $5 says they're still around by Halloween. When it's not super warm, those thing last for months.

Also anyone who steals a pumpkin off of someone's front steps should be sentenced to 8 hours locked in a room with FISH complaining about the Boston Globe.

Discrimination is a slippery slope.

...Also, switch your coffee to decaf.

...you're just a busybody then? Show me on this doll where decaying vegetables on other people's property hurt you.

This is my stoop. It was a collection of pumpkins painted on rocks that went missing. I’m sorry I put them out before September ended.

Check Southie, it's definitely space saver material.

...collecting pumpkins now so that they can be used later as parking-space savers!

With the added feature that they can also be smashed in the street in order to make a statement about people who save spaces in the first place.

(So, I now have this ear worm... Tonight, Tonight
The Smashing Pumpkins! )
