The Boston Fire Department reports a two-alarm fire that broke out at 52 Rockland St. around 4 a.m. killed a resident.
A second resident was rescued, the department says, adding firefighters were hampered fighting the blaze by "hoarding conditions" inside.
The department estimated damage at $350,000.
