
The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 14 National St. in South Boston around 8 p.m. for what turned into a two-alarm fire.
The department reports firefighters were able to keep the fire, which spread between the second and third floors, from jumping to adjoining buildings, despite the tight conditions, wires and icy on a hill.
The department reports four people were displaced. Damage was estimated at $350,000.
