A developer has proposed replacing a printing company and its parking lot at 49-51 D St. in South Boston with a nine-story, 75-unit residential building with ground-floor commercial space.
In a "letter of intent" filed with the BPDA, an attorney for developer Sing Ming Chan says he will soon file detailed plans for a building that will include 20 parking spaces, 18 for residents and the other 2 for the commercial space.
Some 13 of the units would be rented or sold as affordable.
