Man sought for Copley Square laptop swiping

Wanted for laptop thefts at Copley Green Line station

Surveillance photos via TPD.

Transit Police report they are looking for a guy who took advantage of a Green Line rider's lapse of forgetfulness at Copley to walk off with two laptops early on Oct. 10.

According to police, Swiper watched the laptop owner get on a trolley around 12:10 a.m. while leaving behind a laptop bag.

We further allege the suspect took the laptops and left the bag/carrier behind. Victim, upon realizing they forgot their bag, returned forthwith and found only the empty bag/carrier.

If the guy looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050.

An FBI vs MBTA police attributed photo coming from inside a T station? Does the FBI run all surveillance?

The photos are via Transit PD, not the FBI (the stupid problem: My browser remembers what I type in the photo caption field, and I clicked on "Surveillance photos by FBI" instead of "Surveillance photos by TPD;" the stupider problem was that I then didn't check the field).

… but the person in both pics has their mouth open in the same genius-type of facial expression.

How will they ever find him? He could look like anyone.

The fake beard looks so real! I wonder where he kept the barber and the change of clothes though? ;)
